TechCrunch has announced that it has shut down Aaa TV service, but users are able to watch and re-download their favorite shows and movies from the service’s app.
Aaa’s original site, which was available on Android and iOS, was recently taken down.
A few days ago, TechCrunch reported that it had shut down its Android app.
TechCrunch, which previously reported that Aaa was shutting down due to a copyright dispute, also said that it was working on a plan to bring back Aaa on iOS.
TechCrawler has a few more screenshots from the Aaa app, which TechCrunch says was shut down for a couple of weeks due to copyright issues.
A video that TechCrunch describes as Aaa-exclusive has been viewed more than 10 million times on YouTube.
The Aaa service was created in 2007 by a group of software developers and now boasts more than 200 million users.
Techcrawler notes that the site is now being operated by the owners of the AaTV site, a group called “The Aaa Collective.”
TechCrunch also reports that the AaiAaTv service is no longer available, but that a user-submitted video has been uploaded to YouTube that appears to be from the site.
The original Aaa website was taken down for copyright reasons earlier this year.
