Hacker News users have been complaining about Google’s support for the Chromecast video-casting app on Samsung TVs, and now they’re seeing the feature actually work on their Samsung TV.
As of today, the app is available for use with the Samsung TV Smart TV Smart Remote (via the Google Play store) and Google Cast app for Android devices, and can be used with any Samsung TV that supports the HDMI 2.0a standard.
Users can use the Google Cast App on their Android devices and the Google TV Remote on their Google TVs to access and control the Chromecast app.
Google’s Chromecast support is just one of a number of new streaming-TV streaming-device support for Android in the past month, including a slew of Android TV-specific features, like the ability to stream content from your phone to your TV, and a new Android TV app that lets users remotely control their Google Chromecast from their smartphone or tablet.
The Chromecast app is currently only available for the Samsung Android TV Smart remote and Chromecast Remote app, which were released earlier this year.
In addition to the Googlecast support, the Chromcast Remote app also allows users to control Chromecast via a remote.
That remote can be connected to a Google TV to stream movies and TV shows, or it can be controlled through a simple voice-activated remote control app.
The Google Cast Remote app is also compatible with Amazon Fire TV and Chromecasts Android TV devices, as well as Apple TV.
The Chromecast remote app also supports streaming to Chromecast devices using the Chromebox (as well as Chromecast Ultra).
Finally, Chromecast is one of the first streaming-video-streaming apps to include support for Google’s Chromecasting service.
Chromecasters, which lets users access streaming content from their Android TV to a Chromecast device via Chromecast Audio, are available on many of the top streaming devices, including Roku, Amazon Fire, Google’s Nexus Player, and Samsung TV’s Smart TV.
Chromecast offers access to Google Cast through a number on-demand streaming services like YouTube TV, Amazon Prime Video, and Hulu Plus.
